Internet Banking

  • Enables customers to use our extensive online banking service which includes money transfers to other banks, inquiries on a range of data, BC card service and accessing financial information, These services can be used through Internet access on your PC anywhere without having to visit one of our branches
  • The current Internet banking service was developed exclusively by our bank and has been offered to customers since the 6th day of March in 2000.
  • Some of the services may not be available on the English internet banking website.

Issue(register)Digital Certificate

  • For secure financial transactions, 128bit SSL encryption and confirmation centers are in place between customers’ web browsers and Bank’s Internet Banking Server.
  • You need to have a certificated issued in order to use our diverse Internet banking service.

Certificate Usage Information

The Issue of the certificate is completed only onetime process.After having it issued, you just submit it for Internet banking transactions. You can get your certificate revoked or reissued if necessary. You can also use your certificate both at home and work by copying your certificate as a portable file, and retrieving the certificate stored as a file into a selected depository.

How to use internet banking

You need to apply to use our internet banking service.

  • Please bring your resident registration card to one of our branches.
  • Ownership of the security card is compulsory to join the service since 22nd, February of 2001.

Register certificate or Log-in ID/password

  • Transaction service requires the registration of a certificate or Log-in password.
  • If you don't have a certificate, have one issued before proceeding.

Initial registration of Log-in password is being conducted

  • If you've had user password registered at one of our branches but have not yet registered it on your PC, you may not be able to use our Internet banking service. Please log-in within 1 year of your application inclusive of the day of application.
  • If you do not register on your PC within 1 year of applying for our internet banking service, the service shall be suspended for security reasons and you will need to visit a branch again to reactivate your ID/password.
  • Please click "Authorized Certificate Center" to find the registration screen.

Inquiry Service

Transaction record can be displayed for a variety of deposit and fund products.

  • Inquiry of deposit, fund, loan, card, issued check and etc.
  • (For corporation customer) : cooperated business

Transfer Service

You can remit (transfer) to our bank or other banks and inquire about, or change your transfer limit.

  • Immediate transfer, scheduled transfer, transfer result inquiry, apply automatic transfer, transfer limit inquiry/change, favorite account, transfer password register/change
  • (For corporation customer) : approved transfer, immediate transfer (multiple), scheduled transfer (multiple)

Loan

You can check loan details, pay interest and repay or apply for loans on the Internet.

  • Loan inquiry, interests payment/repayment, loan for deposit, moregage loan, personal loan
  • (for corporate customer) : Inquiry estimated amount of discounted bills

Credit Card

You can check details of credit card transactions approved and payments billed, cash advance, etc.

Open or terminate deposit accounts/fund

You can open, terminate deposit and fund accounts and can use other deposit-related service.

Giro/Public Fees

You can pay your GIRO/Public fees on the Internet.

Instructions for Users Overseas

  • The web site and Internet banking service Standard Chartered Bank are designed based on a Korean Windows environment, hence do not function properly in a Netscape or English Windows environment. To use the internet banking service on English Windows, please install a Korean code package. English banking provides limited service.
  • In order to make a remittance (transfer), you need to obtain a user code from a domestic branch, have a certificate issued and have it reissued or copied into a storage device for overseas use. You should also have a security card(or OTP card).
