Richard Hill joined Standard Chartered in January 2006 as Chief Financial Officer, Global Consumer
Banking based in Singapore. In January 2008, he relocated to Seoul, Korea, to take up his current
position as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Head of Strategy of Standard Chartered
Bank. As of December 17, 2009, he became the President and CEO of Standard Chartered Korea
and Standard Chartered Bank.

Richard is currently an Outside Director of The Korea Professional Football League (K-League),
External Advisor to Sogang Business School, Vice Chairman of Foreign Investment Advisory Council
at Seoul Metropolitan Government, Member of Invest Korea Advisory Council, Member of International
Advisory Forum of Presidential Council on Nation Branding and Chairman of EUCCK Banking Committee.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Richard had worked for 19 years in the Consumer Goods Industry
in Sales, Marketing, Finance & General Management roles including a 10 year period working in
Italy & Greece. He has extensive experience in manufacturing, international supply chain management,
SME development, retail sales and premium branding.

Richard led the successful listing of Allied Domecq PLC onto the NYSE in 2002 and was subsequently
Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer in the creation of the first global premium wine business
with large-scale production and sales operations in five continents.

Richard has a BSc in Physics with Medical Physics from the University of Exeter and is
married with 3 sons. He speaks five languages and his interests include tennis, skiing,
diving and he is a lifelong Arsenal FC supporter and club member.
